Hi I am new to this. I am with freewebhostx.com
http://suzaortego.freewebhostx.com/

this loads and works.

My problem is that I can't get - http://www.suzaortego.com - to load
I get the following error -
Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /.

Reason: DNS lookup failure for: suzaortego.com

I have pointed to the name servers - ns1.freewebhostx.com
ns2.freewebhostx.com

but I think my problem is with the doamin manager at freewebhostx.com

I have added the domain - http://www.suzaortego.com - the existing domains section ?? is this correct?
The parent domain section remains empty ? is this correct?
do I need to do anything with the sub or extra domain..

Can somebody lead me step by step through the domain manager at freewebhostx...? there seems to be no adequate instruction... I have checked these forums and the tuts... the topic DNS help seems to have the same problem - but sorry I dont understand the solution there..the language is confusing me.

Hey Ross,

Is this the only domain listed on that account? each account only seems to work for one domain, however you can (from what I've seen) register for multiple accounts if needed. If it is not as I suspected someone should be able to reply shortly with more knowledge of this.

Also, not sure if this is the case, but the www is not needed when adding to the domain manager or anywhere else. www is just a commonly accepted subdomain that is usually mirroring the same information as the main domain. Adding the www in certain areas can cause sites to not load, from what I have seen in prior postings.

You had added the "www." part when adding your domain I believe. I have removed your domain from your account. Please try adding again and update us if it is fixed.

thanks to both of the above replies to my post. I had used www.suzaortego.com in the domain manager and I should have used only suzaortego.com.

so for others that have this problem - just leave out www. when inputting the domain name in the domain manager !!!
